#1: Parker and Parker

This was the second film we worked on this semester and took the longest. We recreated the Austin & Ally TV Show Opening but made every single character Parker Kulis. It started as a joke and we never thought we would actually pull it off. Gradually as it went on and I got more and more comfortable shooting in front of the green screen, Annmarie learned better editing techniques, and Parker gained a new personality each day. I am so proud of this film, I truly am. At first, I was really scared it was gonna look extremely half-a**ed. Annmarie had to redo some of the original shots she edited because she learned better ways of doing them. One of the most difficult things was the lighting in the green room. Some days it didn't work at all, and some days we had to use extension cords and run them all over the place.

#2: Plagiarism PSA

This was the first film we worked on this semester and took the longest. It was the very first idea we had and we ran with it. I am not super proud of it, kind of lukewarm on it. It isn't the worst thing I have ever done in terms of camerawork but eh. I don't have much to say on it. Recently we refilmed the very last clip because we didn't like the background of the original. I love the lighting of the second clip with the couch and my group kept questioning me when I used a separate LED light rather than just the computer and I kept saying I knew what I was talking about and in the end, they both ended up saying that the lighting looked perfect in that shot. But all in all, I don't feel this film as any real story. It feels a little mismatched and thrown together even though that isn't the way we worked on it.

Overall Reflection

I feel that there were good days and bad days in this class. Sometimes we were from start to finish, nonstop filming and some days were a little slower, working on other projects we had to do in this class and watching/helping Annamarie edit. I have been very good with my cellphone usage and do not pull it out in class. I am a little bummed I waited so long to take this class but I am very excited I finally did. I recommend this class to not only everyone questioning it, but anyone in general.
